Roar like a Lion , A Review and Thoughts

This beautiful illustrated devotional is a perfect book for those in elementary to understand and start to learn the bible more. Personally I have heard Levi Lukso , speak in person and if you have not herd him speak he is truly one of those speakers that will leave you empowered and truly wanting to study more. Roar like a lion ,  is in honor of his daughter Lenya who they called Lenya the lion. Unfortunately she died at an early age due to an asthma attack. Very tragic , and something that no one should go through loosing a child in that early age. I have watched also interviews done by Levi and they hold a lot of peace in knowing that they will see her one day in heaven.
Now back to the devo , Browsing through each section is written in a way that it is easier for a child to read and understand what is the main theme for that section. Starts off with a bible verse and then it goes into breaking down and explaining the overall theme and these are short devotionals almost the length of a typical book for a 2nd grader to read. Some of them have get ready to roar and these are short challenges within the section that encourage children to live out their faith and do some sort of action such as be kind to someone maybe a stranger or someone they know such as a sibling. Or another section that reads and speaks on loosing a loved one . As for their action to start a journal and write or draw or cut pictures to remind the child of the good times they shared with that person. Some of the sections instead of a get ready to roar section they have a did you know ? These are awesome facts that may fit the theme of the section such as in a section called So do You want to be brave? talks on real life superhero's such as Harriet Tubman. Who was one of the underground railroaders who brought slaves to freedom. Then finally when you reach the end of the section , it leaves you with a prayer that the child or you and the child can read to end the section with . Browsing through and seeing what topics are included , are topics that a child might deal with or have going on in their life. You pick up or read through different devotionals that are made for children but they don't cover a wide base of topics. Sometimes they are the same things over and over , than the other five books that a child might have read. I love this one because it is so versatile and it has a lot more of wider topics to cover and explore and go over with children. I did watch an interview that levi did , concerning this new book and he compared it to his older one for adults Through the Eyes of a Lion. And I highly recommend that one it is on my reading list.
Overall this is a beautiful book and it is Highly Recommended to give to a child in your life.
